HOLDENVILLE:

Norval Lee (Sonny) Peerson Norvall Lee 'Sonny' Peerson passed away in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Friday, August 5, 2011, at the age of 78 years. Born in Lamar, Oklahoma on September 2, 1932, to Otus F. Peerson & Cecil O. (Huff) Peerson, Sonny spent his childhood and youth in Lamar, where he attended schools. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War, and was discharged from the military in California, where he met Sally Lorraine Laizure. Sonny & Sally were married on November 21, 1956, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Lathrop, California from 1964 to 1992, where Sonny worked in construction and operating heavy equipment, and installing highway signs along the freeway. They moved to Oklahoma and lived in Holdenville for a few months before purchasing property in Spaulding, their home since January of 1993. Sonny was a member of the East Main Church of Christ. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Spaulding Vintage Equipment Club. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and old tractors, and his favorite pastime was enjoying the company of his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otus & Cecil Peerson, and one grandson, Keith Peerson, in February of 2011. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Sally, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law: Clifford & Tina Peerson of Lincoln, California, James & Robin Peerson of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Stanley & Lisa Peerson of Stockton, California; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Andy & Freda Peerson of Holdenville, Oklahoma and Royce & Kathy Peerson of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister, Nell McCoy of Lamar, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held and Sonny will be laid to rest, with American Legion rites, in the Lamar Cemetery on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, 10:00 a.m. Alan Eck is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Charles Adkinson, Randy Tompkins, Tommy Taylor, Danny Young, Joe Marquis and Charles Huff. Services are under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.

Rickey Thomas (Rick) Kelley Rickey "Rick" Thomas Kelley, 66 of Holdenville, Oklahoma passed away on August 5, 2011 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Rickey was born on August 25, 1944 to Clyde and JoAnn Crow Kelley in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Rickey was a lifelong resident of Holdenville and worked as a carpenter and painter for many years in the area.

Rickey is survived by his daughter, Beth Belcher of Seminole, parents, Clyde and Joann Kelley of Holdenville, Oklahoma, and three grandchildren, Elliott Lucas of Oklahoma City, Gunner Lucas of Oklahoma City, and Zoie Lucas of Seminole.
